BBC TV News at Ten

It was an unexpected pleasure to record thoughts on the unlikely topic of Eating snow for BBC TV's Ten O'Clock News.
I had about an hour to collect my thoughts and was ready to talk engagingly on the topic for several minutes, but the production team only wanted one 20 second soundbite. This was for the light-hearted item at the end of the news, which was in response to a social media frenzy after Reece Witherspoon posted a video of making a drink with snow. I was ready for questions on yellow snow and the pros and cons of different types of camping stove for snow melting, pollutants in the air and on the ground, but none of this was needed, so if you have unanswered questions, please ask!
It was good to represent the Royal Geographical Society (with IBG) and to see the RGS credited on screen.
