School Talk 14 December 2023

It was a pleasure to speak to the whole of the Year 7 year at Bartholomew’s School in Eynsham on Antarctica.

I gave a whistle-stop tour of the geography, history of exploration, importance for climate crisis research, geo-politics, logistics of science support, weather, and how we cope with living and working there. A mix of personal stories and experiences of more than a dozen Antarctic summers working brings the facts and figures to life.

I really enjoy sharing my knowledge and enthusiasm for the World’s remotest places with audiences of all ages, both as a subject matter expert for curriculum support talks, and as a keynote speaker for organisations and corporate audiences
